Founded in 1992 by Colorado native Joshua Cohen, Sierra Building & Design is among Colorado's premier custom home builders. As a small "boutique style company" we specialize in the architecture and construction of fully custom Colorado style homes.
We offer other construction services as well, including additions, restorations, renovations and commercial construction.
Our company sets itself apart by providing the best builder-client experience on the market. We work closely with the client through every step of the process, beginning with site selection/analysis if required, space document preparation, construction, and finally, completion. Joshua Cohen
A native Coloradan, Joshua Cohen designed and built his first home in 1990 in Frisco, Colorado. His design proficiency and creativity came from his architectural education and he initially learned to enjoy the construction side of design-build while working from the ground up on his early projects.
Thus Sierra Building and Design was born.
The creation of a design-build company allowed Joshua to continue to be well anchored in the design phase of the project while also overseeing every aspect of the construction, from the balance of spaces, to the visual arrangement of elements, to superior attention to detail, all while keeping client goals in focus.
Joshua's enthusiasm leads him to become deeply involved in each and every project. This immersion into the design and construction has a beneficial effect in completing these structures on budget and on time with exceptional quality, while forming lasting positive relationships with clients.
